Áron Baranyi and Nino Schurter kind of Scott Spark
As part of the agreement between Áron Baranyi and K2 Bike Shop, the 18 years old mountain bike talent will compete with the top class Scott Spark this year and the next one.
The Scott Spark RC 900 WorldCup AXS fully limited edition N1NO Schurter Signatured version was handed over to the rider from Gyöngyös in the K2 Bicycle Shop in Óbuda on Friday by the store manager, Levente Takács.
RoskShox's top class fork and strut were built in the silver frame, and the best spares of SRAM, including the electric AXS transmission system. The measured weight of the bike is 10,5 kg.
Áron has tried the new Spark on the next day, and the setup has started: “I rode my bike today and it was unconscious. I almost have to learn to ride a bike again because its boundaires are completely different. The rim width suprised me the most, very noticable downward run, and the damping is also much finer. Then I tightened a few screws, I took some eyes out of the chain, because it stretched a little, when I went with it. This one is my first new bike after nine years and at the beginning I must be very careful not to loosen anything on it.”
We will obviously report on the first experiences later, in the meantime we asked Áron about the goals he set: “The season is still quite vague but the focus is definitely on the World Cup and the European Championship this year as well. The important races shifted to September and October. Here I will start in the U19 (junior) category. Next year I will in U23 with the "big boys", where four "grades" compete together. My goal is to gradually evolve to the highest level."
"When it turned out that this season will be an unusual one, the preparations had to be reshaped. We took back from the intensity, I collected almost only miles, but as the dates have become clearer, as a function, intensive loads also reappear. Nor can it be easy for coaches to react well to this situationso that their competitor does not suffer and the form is timed when there are the most important competitions."
We hope that after the extremely successful Erik Fetter who concentrated more on the road field in the U23 age, another successful junior racer can boost the reputation of Scott and the K2 Bicycle Store in the person of Áron. We wish you nice results in the new Spark saddle!
