Founded in 1976 as an alternative to both global companies and traditional postal services, DPD is today one of the leading international providers of express and parcel services. From 1.4 million parcels shipped in the first year the company expanded quickly and shipped 7 million parcels yearly by 1980. Today DPD customers entrust 2 million parcels to DPD Express and Parcel Services every day.

A DPD Classic parcel –depending on the distance it has to travel - reaches its destination and is delivered within 1-5 days due to DPD’s highly effective international network.

What DPD Classic-Service has to offer:

  • Worldwide parcel shipping: quickly and economically by road
  • Shipment of parcels to the maximum weight of 31.5 kg
  • And maximum length of 175 cm corresponding the maximum circumference of 300 cm
  • Includes insurance of up to € 520 per parcel, higher insurance available
  • Online consignment status: up-to-date shipping information (I.O.D. = information of delivery) and online proof of delivery, including recipient's confirmation of receipt (P.O.D.)
  • Parcels DPD could not deliver are shipped back to the sender free of charge.

DPD’s Classic-Service is available to the below 31 destination countries from Hungary:

Zone nr. 5:Esthonia (4-5), Croatia* (4-5), Latvia (6), Lithuania (4-5), Spain (4-5), Sweden (4-5)
Zone nr. 6: Finland (4-5), Norway*(4-5), Greece** (3), Portugal (4-5)
Zone nr. 7: Bosnia and Herzegovina *(5-6), Ireland (5), Serbia* (5-6), Montenegro* (5-6), Turkey* (4-5), Tunisia* (5-6)
